Withered Is The Rose, Gone Is The Sparrow

Remember the promises we made?
It embraces hymns of praises from angels
Holy blessings from heaven

To love you I was told
Like the sun never fails to radiate
To stay close to a rainbow after the rain

Together you pledged
We will be inseparable by the sea
Till death do us stay in a bed filled roses

In tears I rejoice
Like a full moon luminous in twilight
Vow of love is made
Kept in faith shared by heaven

Though the pigeon takes to air my loving words
In total silence you keep
Not a peep, not even a tweet in reply

I wonder what went amiss
The rain still falls, the river still flows
But for withered is the rose
Gone is the sparrow
